Gareth joined MUSE STRATEGY as “Of Counsel – Transfer Pricing & Scientific Activities” in March 2026.
He has more than 30 years of experience in Transfer Pricing. His first transfer pricing project was in 1990 and he worked virtually full-time in this area since 1995, initially with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in the United States and New Zealand. In 1998 he joined the nascent transfer pricing group at EY London, reaching the position of Director.
In 2003, he went solo and founded his own transfer pricing boutique firm through which he has been assisting international clients, working also in association with several of the top 20 UK law firms and a number of UK accountancy firms.
Gareth's work has covered all aspects of transfer pricing and thin capitalisation, primarily in the UK, but from time-to-time in other countries. This includes planning and design of transfer pricing policies (on a standalone basis or as part of wider tax planning and/or business change), preparation of compliance documentation, handling disputes/controversy with tax authorities, and negotiating APAs.
His clients range from FTSE 100 and large multinationals down to a number of smaller businesses, such as hedge funds and family-owned groups. Clients are spread across a wide range of businesses, including professional services, insurance, investment management, software, consumer goods, online and traditional publishing, fashion, hedge funds, private equity houses, advertising, agriculture, engineering services, IT outsourcing, telecommunications hardware, websites, automotive parts, shipping, chemicals, food products, banking, film, leasing, real estate and freight.
Since 1999, Gareth (or his firm) has regularly been voted as one of the World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisers in the bi-annual surveys by Legal Media Group.
